Training Day inScotland Beci and Gemma Travelled up to Portlethen, Aberdeen on Saturday 9th February 2013 to run a Workshop on Sunday 10th February for the Portlethen Skip Hop club. On July 27th The Bouncers Skipping Team travelled to Florida to represent the UK in the FISAC World Youth Tournament. They competed in a serious of team and individual events which they had qualified in through the British Rope Skipping Association. Congratulations to Harry, Sam, Georgia and Tiffany for their Bronze medal in Pairs Double Dutch Speed at the World Youth Tournament.
A team from the UK travelled to Washington DC at the beginning of July where they competed against the best in the world in many different events. The 6 girls Beci, Rachael, Laura, Gemma, Lauren and Stacie from Jump Rope UK came back with many medals and trophies between them. To read more about their World Jump Rope trip please .
Skip 2 The Beat performing at Ballindalloch Castle for Jubilee Day.
Brothers Harry and Sam Cross from the Bouncers Skipping Club were asked to demostrate at their street party on the Jubilee Day. They made a demo which had single rope and 2-wheel, and after they turned some double dutch ropes for the children that attended to have a go, and they had a lot of fun doing it. Jubilee Demo

For the first time the UK competed in double dutch fusion at this years DDCB2012. Two teams travelled to belguim where team J-RUK (Beci,Rachael,Laura and Gemma) competed in Mini-Fusion and team Reaction (Sam, Harry, Lauren, Stacie and Lewis) competed in Fusion. Both teams put on an amazing performance and had really good fun on stage. J-RUK placed 3rd in their part .
UK skippers Beci and Rachael Dale and Laura Summers were lucky enough to be part of the newest FIFA Street 2012 TV commercial. It is now being shown on TV so keep a look out for the girls. Its a great advert for Rope Skipping. WATCH HERE
Beci, Laura and Gemma appeared on the popular BBC TV programme “The One Show”. The purpose of having Double Dutch on the show was because they had the comedian Michael McIntyre in the studio and part of his act he skips around the stage so they decide they would see if he could actually skip. So the girls went down .
Sue Dale Head coach of Team UK was approached by the Entertainment committee of LOCOG to provide a Jump Rope Team to perform at the London prepares series in August. They were to perform at the international invitational Basketball Events held at the Olympic Basketball Arena. The team consisted of Top jumpers from The UK (top 4 girls in the country), Belgium, .
The European Team Championships that are held every two years were held this year in Hungary. The UK took their senior girls team over to compete against the best in Europe. The team took Gold in single rope speed/double under relay and silver in Double Dutch speed. The team had only 6weeks training prior to the championships due to Beci breaking .
In April the BRSA worked in partnership with Easy Jet to put on a Double Dutch competition. The BRSA provided coaches to go across the country demonstrating and teaching Double Dutch to promote the event. Some of Team UK’s skippers were asked to perform on Blue Peter demonstrating a short routine of hard skills and then a short piece on some of the basics whilst the presenters spoke to everyone about the sport.
